I created this painted birchwood pendant, inspired by the elusive beauty of moonrise shells—rare treasures known for their greenish, dark blue, and grey hues, which set them apart from the vibrant yellowish-orange colors of sunrise shells. Typically found during early morning shelling around the new or full moon, when tides are lowest, or after a storm when the sea gifts the shore with an array of treasures, these shells are a beautiful, mystical alternative. My handpainted pendant captures their serene, moonlit charm, while leaving nature undisturbed. This pendant is on a 20" cotton cord.
