The lily and hibiscus blossoms in this piece seem to be bursting open with joy. They are framed by ti leaves and paired with soft pink orchids. I wanted to create a composition full of movement and color, and appreciation for the tropical flowers that surround me.
The colors, patterns, and forms of nature inspire much of my artwork. As I paint, I study each bloom closely, and with each brushstroke, I hope to capture the wonder and presence I feel in their beauty. When you encounter this painting, I hope you feel that same sense of presence and admiration.
This laser-cut birchwood painting is 12" high, and approximately 10" wide with a kickstand on the back for shelf display.
